Frequently Asked Questions

Picolaser targets stubborn pigment, sunspots, melasma, and acne-related discoloration. It also helps reduce acne scarring, refine texture, and brighten the complexion. Multiple sessions are usually recommended for optimal, long-lasting results tailored to your skin type and concerns.
Yes, modern picosecond lasers are designed for a wide range of skin tones when operated by trained professionals. A consultation and test settings help minimize risks like hyperpigmentation; tailored treatment plans ensure safety and effectiveness.
Treatment plans vary, but most clients see meaningful improvement after two to four sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart. Deeper pigment or acne scarring may require additional sessions for optimal, lasting results discussed during your consultation.
Most clients report a quick snapping or tingling sensation during treatment. Numbing cream can be applied for comfort. Redness and mild swelling are common for one to three days; makeup can usually conceal effects after a day or two.
Picolaser primarily addresses pigment and scarring by breaking pigment and stimulating healing. It can improve acne-related discoloration and old scars, but it is not a standalone cure for active inflammatory acne — combine with medical acne treatments for best outcomes.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks before treatment; discontinue retinoids as advised. After treatment, use gentle cleansers, broad-spectrum SPF daily, and avoid exfoliants or harsh products until healed. We provide detailed personalized aftercare at your appointment.
